UniWhales Update — Dec 2020
Hey everyone,
It’s been a wild and fun ride so far.
We thrive on building an amazing community (more on that later) and high-powered, easy to use, DeFi analytics tools.
Speed is everything, which is why we have started out with and committed to fast, real-time data.
Two months ago, UniWhales was just one Telegram channel.
We have grown quite a bit since then:
- Twitter: 2500+ followers. No bots, organic growth.
- Main Telegram: 5000 followers, organic growth.
- Premium channels — All bots, organic growth.
- Permissioned DAO — live and growing.
- # of Premium / DAO members: ~200. We won’t name drop, but if you join our DAO, you’ll be impressed by some of the people and discussion in there. Spoiler alert: a bunch of nerds.
- Launch of V 0.0.1 and V 0.0.2 of the web app
- Webinars with top minds in DeFi (Exclusive to our DAO members)

What’s next?
We prefer not to use the word roadmap. But here is an (incomplete) list of upcoming upgrades, channels, etc:
- Tomorrow, Friday the 18th: SushiWhales! A new channel for premium members. We’ll start by tracking major swaps. Future updates will include liquidity adds/removes and maybe new token listings.
A lot depends on the development of the incredibly dynamic SUSHI team.
2. Next week (Christmas week): Our first whale channel. We’ll keep some suspense here, but it’s going to be something unique and powerful for the DeFi analytics space.
3. **Investigating** — not 100% but we are looking for ways to allow premium access via LP tokens: Stake 5000 UWL with the equivalent of ETH and gain access to the web app
4. **Possibility** You’ve seen the snapshot for SUSHI’s Onsen program. It’s not 100%, but there is a chance for UWL to be added to SushiSwap.
5. The absolute rock star 0xMaki has agreed to do a webinar for the DAO this Wednesday, December 23rd @ 6PM Berlin / Noon New York time.

Team Update
We are now six people on the team, 3 founding members and 3 part time contractors. We are quite dynamic and have diverse skillsets with 2 front end devs, 2 back end devs, 1 operations / marketing / biz dev / janitor, and 1 secret weapon.
We are most proud of the fact that ALL contractors were brought in from the UniWhales DAO.
That is how you strengthen a community, and a DeFi analytics platform.
